No accreditor evaluates financial technology programs specifically – there is no programmatic accreditor for this field. Institutional accreditation is the check that matters, with AACSB business-school accreditation as a supplementary signal where it applies. Vendor certifications in particular payment platforms, trading systems, or blockchain frameworks are credentials issued by companies, not accreditation, and a degree does not confer them.

Admissions requirements

Requirements vary by school, but most programs require a completed bachelor’s degree. Common elements include transcripts, a resume, and a statement of purpose. Beyond that, expectations track the program’s home department: business-school programs typically want evidence of quantitative coursework and sometimes work experience, while computing-school programs typically want evidence you can program.
