Careers for mathematics graduates

The degree fans out into several distinct labor markets, and the credential that opens each one is not always the degree.

Actuarial work is the clearest path with the strongest numbers, and the degree is not the gate. Actuaries qualify by passing a professional exam sequence administered by the actuarial societies, which candidates typically start during the bachelor’s.
