Affordable Online Financial Planning Degrees (2026)

Affordable online financial planning programs are about total cost to complete, not the lowest advertised sticker. The levers are per-credit price, how many credits you still owe, fees, and how long you stay enrolled. Confirm institutional accreditation before you chase a low rate. The CFP Board does not accredit degrees. It registers education programs that satisfy the coursework requirement for CFP certification. Institutional accreditation is still the first check. Passing the CFP exam, meeting experience hours, and agreeing to the Board’s ethics rules are separate from the diploma.

This page is a decision guide, not a ranking. Compare bachelor’s and master’s options, then the careers page for the occupations this CIP actually reaches.
